When my first web page went on line there were 10,000 sites (1995) and we thought that was remarkable! I'm in the picture painting business and also like to write (but not edit) books and articles dealing with local geology, history, myth and legend.
I was so busy developing paintings and web pages I hardly noticed the advent of blogs and am a novice when it comes to just how this works and what etiquette is required. As I recall, there was a lot of feed back on these matters as they related to website creation back in '95.

- Rod Mackay graduated as a teacher in 1952 and after his marriage to the late Anne Torey in 1957 taught science for ten years. He worked in biology for six years and having also trained as an artist had his first one-man show at Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1972. Three years after Anne's death from breast cancer in 1995 he remarried another Nova Scotian, Ruth Brown. He continues to paint in a traditional style at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
